Green Baby Pak Choy (Chinese Cabbage)

This vegetable was not so common in the Philippines.  It's so happened that when I went to divisoria with my sister, we passed by a vegetable stand and we saw this green leafy vegetable and because we worked  in Hongkong we really missed eating this. To cooked it is so easy, just boil or saute in garlic with steam fish as another main course you will really have a very satisfying meal. According to the vendor, it grows in Baguio. How I wish someday,  there will be more production of this vegetable in all the markets.

Green Baby Pak Choy is one of the most popular vegetables grown and sold in the supermarkets on the West Coast and Orient. This vegetable is also called Shanghai Bok Choy, Ching-Chiang Choy or Ching-Kang Choy in Asia. This fast-growing vegetable has tender green leaves and crispy green petioles. Green Baby Bok Choy has become the most used vegetables in various Oriental dishes due to its excellent flavor, texture and size. There are many varieties developed recently to meet the increasing demands for home garden and commercial crops.

New Blogger Layout

After so many months of  trying and trying of making my blog looks great, finally I did it. Thanks to the scrappinblogs.com I made a new face to my three blogging site. Although it's not so personalized like the other blogs, I'm so happy with the output. Still, I will not stop in searching on some tutorials on how to personalized the blog. Hope my visitors will like it too...

What's your Holiday Foods?

Do you have now a list on what to cook in Christmas Eve? Well as for me, none yet hehehe... Because this is our first time to have our christmas in our love nest, Hubby wanted to make it extra special.. I had already in my mind like carbonara (of course, most requested by Hubby), something grilled and our dessert it's either cake or fruit salad. Well, I still have 2 days to browsed the net and get some ideas of delicious holiday foods. Of course, I will not cooked to much because it's just the two of us and another thing we didn't have a fridge yet. Here are some of the great recipes from thepioneerwoman.com. I like this site because the ingredients were easy to find and they have the step by step procedure.

                                Fettuccine Alfredo: I think I will have some revision of my carbonara,
                                using this recipe.

                               Hot and Sweet Drumsticks: Hubby and Me like chicken and with this
hot and sweet taste, I'm sure we will have a great Noche Buena.

                                Tres Leches Cake: I don't want to buy cake in goldilocks neither red
                                ribbon, with this cake.. Well, in full force I will show up my baking ability.

Sashimi

I'm still here!!! I missed joining this meme...hehehe... There were lots of food queue at my cam and as long as I wanted to share it all at once,  but my time table didn't permit hehehe... Anyway, my hubby celebrated his post birthday celebration and his bandmates decided to have it at the bar. It's just a simple, relaxing, small bar along the highway at Canlalay, BiƱan Laguna and this was their favorite pulutan because they were able to ordered five oozing platters of it... I'm not into raw fish and I can't take the taste of wasabi. But to satisfy my curiosity I tasted a little bit of that fresh tuna and guess what ???? It brought me stomach ache.
